Our Fish
From the auction floor, straight to Kyoto — alive
For over thirty years, the owner has driven to the fishing ports of Obama and Takahama in Fukui every week to buy fish at the auction himself. Using his own live-fish tank truck, he brings the catch back to Kyoto still swimming — including fish that never appear in Kyoto's central market. The restaurant has been serving them since 1965.

Our Space
A room carved from a single tree
The counter, floor and walls are all finished with wood from one single muku (Aphananthe) tree, under a ceiling of woven bamboo bark. Refined like a kappo restaurant, relaxed like an izakaya — comfortable for solo diners at the counter, families on tatami, and banquets of up to 30 guests.
